“Music for Planet” is created to meet the underlying mission of London Music Academy. The programme aims to equip students in China, Thailand and European countries with in-depth knowledge in music and beyond, through cultural exchanges, to grow mutual learning and development opportunities, transcending music as a universal language to benefit societies at large.
Pivot by music and extended to cultural and heritage, “Music for Planet” is a progressive and structured project takes regular intervals of musically centric exchanges between music learners across UK, Europe, Thailand and China.
"Music for Planet" is primarily funded by London Music Academy along with its affiliate co-sponsors.
There are broad selections of destinations of “Music for Planet”, including Bangkok, Chengdu, Shanghai, Paris, Cannes, London. The scholarship of “Music for Planet” is offered to suited candidates though a well-crafted onboarding process, where primary selection and final audition are applied. You will be required for submission of a digital content that can best showcase your music background. We will inform the successful applicants for first round selection which is usually by virtual interviews by a committee consisted of veteran musicians. Successors in the first round will be invited for a final audition which usually takes place in the capital city of the respective home countries. Shortlisted beneficiaries are invited to join the programme abroad tailored to meet the learning objectives. The entire duration of the onboarding process is four to six months, finalists can expect their places been confirmed two months before departure dates.
And if you are not selected, do not worry, the selection process per se is an exciting journey of development musically and culturally, you will be immersed to an unparalleled music learning environment fuelled by potential, optimism, transformation and exploration along with likeminded people who share the same values and visions.
Candidates are considered based on their music skills assessment as well as their merits in meeting the underlying values of "Music for Planet". You are encouraged to submit references for your music achievements as well as your exposures in social and cultural experiences.
From 10 years to 18 years old, those who studies instruments: violin, piano, cello whether to pursue a professional career or for fun, are welcomed to apply. We welcome all nationalities, but you must be able to command at least intermediary and above English skills. In some circumstances, we accept parents to accompany young children, under a self-funding arrangement.

20th Sep 2025, London Music Academy alongside its partners hosted its annual piano audition at Chateau De Atlantis in Chengdu city, more than a hundreds of Chinese students anticipated at the event. The Audition is to onboard candidates for London Music Academy’s 2026 scholarship programme. Beneficiaries will participate in music exchanges abroad including Thailand, the UK and France. Harnessing the power of music to benefit societies at large.
